I was leaps and bounds least connected to him as a character/narrator, so I wasn’t super affected when he died. One of the main characters died: Michael. I would have been LIVID if that whole conflict went unresolved.

And by that, I mean on the very last page. I was excited for Clementine finding her brother FINALLY at the end of the story. She did grow a bit and began to take more charge in her life, but god it was a terrible journey getting there. It became REMARKABLY grating by the end of the story. In this book, however, her MO was victimhood and living the “woe is me” lifestyle. In the first two books, I didn’t mind her much at all. Review: This series is incredibly character-driven, so that’s pretty much how my review will be.

In order to continue surviving, the remaining humans must decide whether they can align with the Baggers or not, and if they make the wrong choice, all of their lives are over. Summary: The survivors of the earthquake that unleashed a deadly plague upon the world have a new enemy to fight: the Ferals.
